About HUUM
HUUM is an Estonian company that builds its heaters in Estonia, working with Estonian metal fabricators. Its designs put the stones on display, in open wire frames, stone columns and rounded forms, and HUUM recommends rounded stones in its heaters for milder steam. HUUM has offered sauna controls that work with a smartphone app since 2014.
We carry HUUM's DROP, CLIFF, CLIFF Mini, STEEL, STEEL Mini, CORE, HIVE Mini and HIVE electric heaters and its HIVE Wood and HIVE Flow wood-burning stoves. We also stock the UKU Local and UKU Wi-Fi controls, the UKU Extension Box, and HUUM railings, reflectors, flanges, stones and replacement elements.
Every HUUM electric heater runs on a UKU control, and the HIVE 12, 15 and 18 kW also need the UKU Extension Box. HUUM's warranty is three years for private use on its electric heaters and wood stoves, excluding heating elements, stones and sensors.
HUUM questions
Which control does a HUUM heater need?
A HUUM UKU control, either Local or Wi-Fi. HUUM rates it for heaters up to 11 kW on its own, which covers every HUUM heater up to 10.5 kW; the HIVE 12, 15 and 18 kW add the UKU Extension Box.
What stones go in a HUUM heater?
HUUM recommends rounded stones: 3–5 cm for the CLIFF and STEEL families, and 5–10 cm for the DROP, HIVE, CORE and HUUM wood stoves.
What's HUUM's warranty?
Three years for private use, covering electric heaters and wood stoves but excluding heating elements, stones and sensors.
