No. You send an order request with no payment. We confirm stock, shipping and your full total on a written invoice, and you pay only after you approve it. How ordering works shows each step.
No. Your order becomes final only when you approve our invoice and pay it, and you can change or cancel your request for free until then.
We check stock and work out shipping to your address, then email you a written invoice with the full total. If something needs your input first, such as a matching control or the right amount of stones, we’ll contact you before we invoice.
Interac e-Transfer, or a credit card through the secure payment link on your invoice. You pay after you approve the invoice, never on this website. We don’t offer financing. Orders ship once payment is received.
All prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax. Tax depends on the province you’re shipping to: 13% HST in Ontario; 14% HST in Nova Scotia; 15% HST in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island; 5% GST plus 7% PST in British Columbia, 7% RST in Manitoba, 6% PST in Saskatchewan or 9.975% QST in Quebec; and 5% GST in Alberta and the territories. Checkout shows an estimate for your province, and your invoice shows the tax, shipping and total before you pay.
It matches the request you sent: the same order number, items and shipping address. If a message says our payment details have changed, check with us before you pay: email info@lakeshoresaunas.ca or use our contact form. How ordering works has more tips.
Anywhere in Canada. Heaters, controls, stones and accessories ship from our Ontario warehouse, and outdoor saunas are delivered to your address. See shipping and delivery.
It depends on your address and the size and weight of your order, so we quote it on your invoice instead of charging a flat rate. You see the shipping cost before you pay.
In-stock items ship in 3–5 business days after we receive payment, and special-order items take 3–6 weeks. After that, the time in transit depends on the carrier and the distance to your address.
Delivery and assembly are quoted to your address, anywhere in Canada, and we confirm the base, delivery method and access needs for your model with your quote. Our site prep guide explains how to get ready.
Report it within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the boxes, labels and damage, and please don’t install a damaged heater or control. There’s no restocking fee on an item that arrives damaged, defective or wrong.
Measure the room’s inside volume, add extra for glass, brick, tile or concrete using the heater maker’s rule, and choose a heater whose published room range includes the result, ideally near the middle. Our heater size guide and Heater Finder do the math.
Yes. HUUM adds 3.3 cu ft for every square foot of glass and Harvia about 3.9 cu ft, so a 12 sq ft glass door adds roughly 40 to 47 cu ft. That can push you up a heater size.
It depends on the model. Harvia’s KIP, The Wall, Vega Compact and the built-in-control Cilindro versions have their controls on the heater. Most other heaters need a matching control from the same brand. Browse sauna controls.
No. Controls are brand-locked because each maker’s sensor, wiring and overheat protection are designed for its own heaters. Harvia pairs with Harvia, HUUM with HUUM’s UKU, and Homecraft with Homecraft’s TKE controls.
A contactor is a heavy-duty switch that turns the heater’s 240 V power on and off for the control. Harvia’s control kits include one, HUUM’s UKU has one built in for heaters up to 11 kW, and Homecraft controls ship with a relay contactor box. Our controls guide explains when you need an extra box.
Not with heaters bought on their own. Order the amount your heater’s manual lists, such as about 55 kg for a HUUM DROP, which is 4 boxes of 15 kg. Our outdoor saunas are the exception: their starting price includes sauna stones. See how many sauna stones you need and shop sauna stones.
Electric suits push-button or app start if you can run 240 V to the sauna. Wood suits sites without practical power and owners who enjoy tending a fire, if your municipality and insurer allow it. Compare them in our wood vs electric guide.
A Licensed Electrical Contractor, or you in your own home if you file a notification with ESA before you start. Harvia, HUUM and Homecraft also call for a qualified or licensed electrician, and Homecraft says a connection by a non-certified person voids its warranty. Other provinces have their own electrical permit rules. See our electrical checklist.
Use the table in the manual for your exact model, and have your electrician confirm it. For example, HUUM lists a 50 A breaker and 8 AWG minimum wire for its DROP 9 kW.
At 240 V, amps equal watts divided by 240, so a 6 kW heater draws 25 A and a 9 kW heater 37.5 A. Ask your electrician to check your panel’s capacity and free breaker space before you order.
Most houses have 240 V single-phase power, so choose a 240 V heater. 208 V three-phase models are for buildings with three-phase power, usually commercial ones.
We don’t install heaters. Have a licensed electrician connect an electric heater, as the heater makers require, and a qualified installer fit a wood stove, with any inspection your municipality or insurer requires. For outdoor saunas, we quote delivery and assembly to your address.
Many home insurers ask for a WETT inspection, so call your insurer before you buy. Check your municipality’s rules too. Toronto, for example, lists installing a wood-burning stove as work that needs a building permit.
Our starting prices run from about $6,700 for a small Luna or barrel to about $14,700 for the larger A-frame, in CAD before tax. They’re based on our September 2026 survey of Ontario sellers’ published prices. See outdoor sauna prices in the GTA for every size.
The sauna in the size you choose, with its heater, sauna stones, and a bucket and ladle. Delivery and assembly are quoted to your address, and your quote lists everything, including tax, before you pay anything.
A 40% deposit starts production, and the balance is due before delivery. The deposit is refundable until production starts and non-refundable after that. You pay by Interac e-Transfer or credit card, after you approve your written quote.
Lead time is 4–6 weeks from your deposit, and the balance is due before delivery.
It depends on where you live. In Ontario, the Building Code Act treats a structure over 10 m² (about 107 sq ft), or any structure with plumbing, as a building that needs a permit. Zoning setbacks and height limits apply either way, and other provinces set their own rules, so confirm with your municipality. Our site prep guide covers the details.
A level, well-drained base: compacted gravel with pavers, a concrete pad, or a deck built to carry the sauna’s weight. We confirm the base for your model with your quote.
Our 2-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the sauna structure, for the original purchaser at the original site, under normal residential use. Weather and other exterior factors, and assembly or installation not done by us, aren’t covered. The heater carries its manufacturer’s warranty. Our warranty page has the full terms.
It depends on seating, space, looks and budget. Barrels, Lunas and cabins have the lowest starting prices, while Lunas, cubes and A-frames offer large glass fronts. Our style guide compares all five.
Yes, free of charge at any time before you pay, since no payment is taken with an order request. After you pay and before your order ships, in-stock items are refunded in full, and special-order items we’ve already ordered from the manufacturer carry a 15% restocking fee. See our returns and cancellations policy.
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, if it’s unused, not installed or wired, complete and in its original packaging, and we’ve authorized the return first. A 15% restocking fee applies to change-of-mind returns, and you pay the return shipping unless the error is ours.
