About the HUUM STEEL Mini
The HUUM STEEL Mini electric sauna heater is narrow and neat, built to sit close to the wall in a small sauna. Despite its size it holds about 60 kg of small 3–5 cm stones, so you still get real, lasting steam when you ladle water, not just a quick hiss from a thin layer of rocks.
HUUM rates it for 3–5 m³ (106–177 cu ft), which suits one- and two-person saunas, indoor kits and small barrels. It's 31 cm wide and just 16 cm deep (12.2 × 6.3 in), stands 97.5 cm tall and is fixed to the wall with its own bracket, leaving the floor clear for benches and feet. Its short safety distances (50 mm at the sides) make it easy to place.
The STEEL Mini runs with a HUUM UKU control, Local or Wi-Fi, sold separately. At 3.5 kW it needs a 20 A double-pole breaker and 12 AWG copper at 240 V, per HUUM's manual. In Ontario, a licensed electrician or an ESA-notified homeowner handles the hook-up.

What you need to install it
- Hard-wired to a dedicated double-pole breaker (20 A); your electrician confirms breaker and wire size against the manual.
- Fix it to a sturdy wall with its bracket; keep at least 50 mm (2 in) at the sides and 1,200 mm (47.3 in) above to the ceiling.
Control: Needs a HUUM UKU control, Local or Wi-Fi (sold separately).
Stones: Holds about 60 kg (132 lb) of small 3–5 cm stones. Sold separately.
Wiring and permits
Electric sauna heaters are hard-wired to a dedicated breaker sized in the manual. Have a licensed electrician do the work and get the permit or inspection your province requires. In Ontario that means a Licensed Electrical Contractor, or you in your own home after filing an ESA notification; ask for the ESA Certificate of Acceptance, as your insurer may want it.

HUUM STEEL Mini questions
STEEL Mini or CLIFF Mini?
Same 3.5 kW output, room rating and 60 kg stone capacity. The STEEL Mini has a smooth steel look; the CLIFF Mini has a rugged, stone-faced look.
Is it enough for a two-person sauna?
HUUM rates it for up to 5 m³ (177 cu ft). A 5 × 5 ft room with a 7 ft ceiling is 175 cu ft, right at the limit, so choose a bigger heater if the room has glass.
Can I use a Harvia or other-brand control?
No. HUUM heaters work only with HUUM's UKU controls; each brand calibrates its temperature sensor differently and uses different wiring.
