About the HUUM CORE
The HUUM CORE electric sauna heater is a tidy, square unit with a perforated top that lets heat and steam rise evenly. Order it in durable black steel, or with real wood side panels in alder, aspen or thermo-aspen and a black or stainless top rim, so it matches the rest of your sauna. HUUM's manual lists about 40 kg of 5–10 cm stones.
HUUM rates the 6 kW for 5–9 m³ (177–318 cu ft), the 9 kW for 8–13 m³ (283–460 cu ft) and the 10.5 kW for 10–16 m³ (354–566 cu ft). Safety distances are small (HUUM lists 50 mm, or 2 in, at the sides), which makes the CORE easy to fit into tight corners or creative bench layouts. It can even be built fully into a bench, following HUUM's guidance.
The CORE runs with a HUUM UKU control, Local or Wi-Fi, sold separately; the Wi-Fi version works with the HUUM app. It's hard-wired at 240 V single-phase on a dedicated breaker and fixed to the floor with brackets.

What you need to install it
- Hard-wired to a dedicated double-pole breaker (30 A for 6 kW, 50 A for 9 and 10.5 kW); your electrician confirms breaker and wire size against the manual.
- Keep at least 50 mm (2 in) at the sides and 1,100 mm (43.3 in) above the heater to the ceiling.
- On panelled models, connect and test the wiring before fitting the wood panels. HUUM notes the finished heater is heavy to turn.

Wiring and permits
Electric sauna heaters are hard-wired to a dedicated breaker sized in the manual. Have a licensed electrician do the work and get the permit or inspection your province requires. In Ontario that means a Licensed Electrical Contractor, or you in your own home after filing an ESA notification; ask for the ESA Certificate of Acceptance, as your insurer may want it.

HUUM CORE questions
What's the difference between the standard and wood-panel CORE?
Same heater and ratings. The panel version adds four wood side panels (alder, aspen or thermo-aspen) and a black or stainless top rim, which brings it to about 44 × 44 cm.
How many stones does it hold?
HUUM's manual lists about 40 kg of 5–10 cm stones, and the heater may only be used when it's correctly filled: the elements must not show through the stones, and HUUM warns that a sparsely filled heater is a fire hazard. Stack them loosely between the elements so air can move. Our stone option is two 15 kg boxes (30 kg), so add a third 15 kg box from our sauna stones.
What breaker does it need?
Per HUUM's US manual: 30 A with 10 AWG for the 6 kW, 50 A with 8 AWG for the 9 and 10.5 kW, all at 240 V single-phase.
Can I use a Harvia or other-brand control?
No. HUUM heaters work only with HUUM's UKU controls; each brand calibrates its temperature sensor differently and uses different wiring.
