Cabin saunas

Why choose a cabin sauna

A cabin sauna is a rectangular sauna house with a pitched roof: a gable, a single slope or a birdhouse profile. Most have a glass door and at least one window, and many can add a covered porch. Choose from four footprints, from about 4 × 6 ft to 8 × 8 ft.

A good fit for a traditional or cottage-style look, a little more privacy than a full glass front, and a porch to sit on between rounds.

  • Pitched roof sheds snow

A gable or single-slope roof lets snow slide off, so there’s less to clear after a storm.

  • Low starting price

Our smallest cabin starts at $7,395 before tax, with its heater, sauna stones, and a bucket and ladle.

  • Light and privacy

A glass door and windows bring in light while keeping more privacy than a full glass front.

  • Porch and change-room options

Many cabins can add a covered porch or a change room, somewhere to sit between rounds.

  • Four footprints

From about 4 × 6 ft for three or four people to 8 × 8 ft for about six.

Delivery and site prep

The sauna is the easy part. A level base, a clear route and power or a chimney plan make delivery day go smoothly.

How it arrives

  • Lead time: 4–6 weeks from your deposit
  • Delivery: quoted to your address, anywhere in Canada
  • Assembly: quoted with delivery, for your site
  • We confirm the base, delivery method and access your model needs with your quote
  • A 40% deposit starts production, and the balance is due before delivery

Get your site ready

  • Space: the footprint you choose, including any porch, plus room to walk around it
  • A level, well-drained base: compacted gravel with pavers, a concrete pad, or a deck built to carry the sauna’s weight
  • A clear delivery route, with no low wires or branches in the way
  • Electric heat: a dedicated 240 V circuit, connected by a licensed electrician with any permit your province requires (an ESA notification in Ontario)
  • Wood heat: a chimney kit sized to the stove, the clearances in its manual, and a call to your insurer about a WETT inspection
  • Permits: every cabin size here has a footprint under 10 m² (about 107 sq ft), Ontario’s building-permit threshold for a structure without plumbing; other provinces set their own rules. A porch or change room adds to the footprint, and zoning setbacks and height limits still apply.

Rules differ between municipalities. Our outdoor sauna site prep guide walks through permits, zoning, the base and the delivery route.

Cabin sauna questions

What counts as a cabin sauna?

Any rectangular sauna house with a pitched roof: a gable, a single slope or a birdhouse profile. Log cabins and small box saunas with a pitched roof are cabins too.

How many people fit in a cabin sauna?

Typically about 3 to 4 people in a 4 × 6 ft cabin, about 4 in the 6 × 6 and 7 × 7 ft sizes and about 6 in an 8 × 8 ft. We confirm the seating for your exact model in the quote.

Does a peaked roof affect heating?

It can. A peaked interior adds air volume unless the ceiling inside is flat, and heater makers size heaters by volume. We size the heater for the real interior in your quote; our heater size guide explains how.

Can I add a porch or change room?

Many cabins offer a covered porch or a change room. Both add to the footprint and the price, so measure for the larger size and check your setbacks. Mention it in your quote request.

What’s included in the starting price?

The sauna in the size you choose and its heater. Sauna stones and a bucket and ladle are included too. Delivery and assembly are quoted to your address, anywhere in Canada, and the tax for your province is added on your invoice.
