HUUM UKU Local Sauna Control

UKU Local runs a HUUM electric heater from a panel on the wall: set the temperature and heating time, switch it on, and the controller holds the heat. Its main module switches the heater's 240 V power itself, so HUUM heaters up to 10.5 kW need no separate contactor box. Sauna lights, a fan and a steamer can be wired in too, and the system adds overheat protection and a child lock. If you want phone control later, HUUM says Wi-Fi can be added to UKU Local.

The kit pairs the panel in your chosen finish with the main module, a temperature sensor set and a door sensor, which HUUM's manual makes mandatory. The main module belongs outside the hot room, and the manual rates it down to −40 °C, which is useful for a backyard sauna. The CLASSIC plastic panels also mount outside the sauna room; the WOOD and GLASS panels can go inside, low on the wall and away from the heater.

UKU Local runs HUUM heaters only: CLIFF, CLIFF Mini, STEEL, STEEL Mini, DROP, CORE and HIVE Mini. The HIVE 12, 15 and 18 kW also need the UKU Extension Box.

In Ontario, control and heater wiring is a job for a Licensed Electrical Contractor, or for you in your own home after filing an ESA notification (permit).
