  • Homecraft TKE2-2 Wi-Fi Sauna Control: The TKE2-2 control system with Homecraft's Wi-Fi touchpad, so you can preheat and check the sauna from your phone. It includes the relay contactor box, in an indoor or weatherproof outdoor version.
  • Indoor setup: The contactor box installs indoors in a dry, protected spot, such as a basement, garage or utility room.
  • Outdoor setup: The contactor box arrives pre-mounted in a weatherproof enclosure, for mounting on the outside of an outdoor or barrel sauna.

Overview

About the Homecraft Revive Slim

The Homecraft Revive Slim electric sauna heater takes the Revive tower and makes it narrow (about 13.5 in wide and 8 in deep) for small saunas where every inch matters. It still holds up to about 45 kg (100 lb) of rock, enough to ladle water for proper löyly. Its free-airflow design moves heat through the rock and shields the elements, and it's built from 100% stainless steel.

Homecraft rates the 4 kW for 100–175 cu ft, the 5 kW for 150–275 cu ft and the 6 kW for 250–331 cu ft. That covers one- and two-person rooms, compact barrels and small family saunas. At 36 in tall, it stands on the floor against the wall and needs only 3.5 in to combustibles. Homecraft requires a heater guard on every installation; the Revive Slim guard is sold separately.

The Revive Slim runs with a Homecraft TKE2-2 control and relay box, sold separately, in indoor or outdoor-rated versions. The 4 and 5 kW use a 30 A breaker with #10 copper and the 6 kW a 40 A breaker with #8, at 240 V, per Homecraft's manual.

What you need to install it

  • Hard-wired to a dedicated double-pole breaker (30 A for 4 and 5 kW, 40 A for 6 kW); your electrician confirms breaker and wire size against the manual.
  • Homecraft controls use a separate relay (contactor) box mounted outside the hot room. Choose the indoor box, or the outdoor-rated box for an outdoor sauna.
  • Keep 3.5 in (89 mm) to combustibles and 42 in (1,067 mm) above to the ceiling.
  • Homecraft requires its heater guard on every installation, fixed with the screws supplied. It’s sold separately: add the Revive Slim guard below unless you already have one.

Control: Needs a Homecraft TKE2-2 control with its relay box (sold separately), in indoor or outdoor-rated versions.

Stones: Holds up to about 45 kg (100 lb) of rock. Sold separately.

Wiring and permits

Electric sauna heaters are hard-wired to a dedicated breaker sized in the manual. Have a licensed electrician do the work and get the permit or inspection your province requires. In Ontario that means a Licensed Electrical Contractor, or you in your own home after filing an ESA notification; ask for the ESA Certificate of Acceptance, as your insurer may want it.

Homecraft Revive Slim questions

Which Revive Slim fits my room?

Per Homecraft's manual: 4 kW for 100–175 cu ft, 5 kW for 150–275 cu ft and 6 kW for 250–331 cu ft. Choose the bigger size if your room has a glass door or window.

What electrical service does it need?

240 V single-phase: a 30 A breaker with #10 copper for the 4 and 5 kW, or 40 A with #8 for the 6 kW, all 90 °C rated.

Indoor or outdoor control setup: which do I need?

Pick the indoor setup when the relay box will live in a dry, indoor space such as a basement or change room. For an outdoor sauna where the box mounts outside, choose the outdoor setup, which uses an outdoor-rated relay box.

Can I use a Harvia or HUUM control with it?

No. Homecraft heaters work only with Homecraft TKE controls; controls from other brands use different sensors and wiring.
