About the Narvi Luosto
The Narvi Luosto wood-burning sauna stove is Narvi's renewed version of its Kota L. It keeps the round body, which Narvi says makes it durable and easy to place in many kinds of saunas, and adds adjustable feet plus a glass door in a cast-iron frame with a sturdy handle. The glass lets you watch the fire and keep it burning evenly.
Narvi rates it for saunas of 8–20 m³ (282–706 cu ft) and designed it for people who use their sauna often: it heats quickly on a small amount of wood. It holds 35 kg of 10–15 cm stones. The Luosto VS adds a stainless steel water tank of about 30 L with a tap, and you can turn the tank so the tap sits where it suits your layout.
The 119 mm flue connects at the back or on top of the standard Luosto; the VS connects on top only. A short pipe for the rear connection comes with the stove. The Luosto is 50 cm across (60 cm with the tank) and 75 cm tall, and weighs 47 kg, or 54 kg for the VS, before stones. Stones and the chimney are sold separately.

What you need to install it
- Needs a chimney kit matched to the 119 mm flue outlet, installed to the chimney maker's instructions. Many home insurers ask for a WETT inspection, so book one before the first fire.
- Narvi lists 300 mm (11.8 in) at the sides, 350 mm (13.8 in) at the back, 500 mm (19.7 in) in front and 1,280 mm (50.4 in) to the ceiling.
- On a wooden or tiled floor, or over in-floor heating, Narvi calls for its installation base plus a metal floor plate reaching 400 mm (15.7 in) in front of the stove.
- Do the first firing outdoors on a non-combustible surface, as Narvi's manual directs: it burns off protective coatings and sets the paint. Don't make steam that first time.

Narvi Luosto questions
What does the VS version add?
A stainless steel water tank of about 30 L with a tap, warmed by the stove. You can set the tank so the tap faces where you want it. The VS is 60 cm wide and connects to the chimney from the top only.
Can I make it look like the Inari?
Yes. Narvi offers an optional stone grid that turns the Luosto into an Inari-style stove with its stones on show. Ask us about availability.
What size sauna does it suit?
Narvi rates the Luosto for 8–20 m³ (282–706 cu ft). If your sauna has log walls or isn't heated regularly, Narvi says to multiply the volume by 1.5, and to add 0.8–1.5 m³ for each square metre of bare glass, brick or concrete wall.
Is it certified for use in Canada?
Our supplier doesn't list a Canadian (CSA or ULC) certification for this stove, so check with your insurer and WETT inspector before you buy.
