Overview
About the Harvia Legend
The Harvia Legend wood-burning sauna stove surrounds its firebox with a mighty load of stones inside a round, black steel frame. Once they're hot, that stone mass gives rich, soft steam even at a lower temperature, and it keeps the room warm if the fire dies down between loads. A modern grate splits the combustion air so wood burns more cleanly and the firebox lasts longer.
The range covers most sauna sizes. The Legend 150 and 150 SL hold 120 kg of stones for 6–13 m³ rooms. The 240 SL and 240 Duo hold 200 kg for 10–24 m³, and the 240 GreenFlame suits 10–20 m³ and puts the fire behind a large glass hatch. The 300 Duo carries 260 kg for 15–30 m³.
SL and Duo models pass through the wall, so you load wood from a change room or outside and keep the hot room clean; the Duo's glass door also serves as a fireplace on that side. All models use a 115 mm flue and need a chimney kit, sold separately.

What you need to install it
- Needs a chimney kit matched to the 115 mm flue outlet, installed to the chimney maker's instructions.
- Keep the manual's clearances to walls, benches and ceiling, and set the stove on a non-combustible floor or base.
- Harvia lists 200 mm (7.9 in) at the sides and 250 mm (9.8 in) at the back to combustible materials; front and ceiling distances vary by model.
- Through-wall versions need an opening in a non-combustible (masonry or similar) wall. Many home insurers ask for a WETT inspection, so book one before the first fire.
Stones: Holds about 120 kg (265 lb) on the 150 models, 200 kg (441 lb) on the 240 models and 260 kg (573 lb) on the 300 Duo, of 10–15 cm stones. Sold separately.

Harvia Legend questions
Which Legend fits my sauna?
Legend 150 and 150 SL: 6–13 m³ (212–459 cu ft). Legend 240 SL and 240 Duo: 10–24 m³ (353–847 cu ft). Legend 240 GreenFlame: 10–20 m³. Legend 300 Duo: 15–30 m³ (530–1,059 cu ft).
What do SL and Duo mean?
Both have a firebox that passes through the sauna wall, so you feed the fire from the next room. On the Duo, the glass door on that side doubles as a fireplace.
How many stones do I need?
About 120 kg for the 150 models, 200 kg for the 240 models and 260 kg for the 300 Duo, all 10–15 cm. Harvia also sells a smoke-pipe stone cover (WL300) for some models that holds extra stones.
Is a chimney included?
No. Every Legend has a 115 mm flue outlet, and you'll need a chimney kit sized to it. Through-wall models need a non-combustible wall section as well.
