The Harvia heaters and sizes Harvia rates this sauna control for.
Harvia Cilindro Electric Sauna Heater Sizes: 6 kW
Harvia Spirit Electric Sauna Heater Sizes: 6 kW Overview
The Xenio CX30 runs a Harvia electric heater from a compact wall panel. You set the temperature (40–90 °C), switch the heater on or delay the start by up to 12 hours, and it switches sauna lights and a fan as well. This XW version ships with Harvia's Xenio Wi-Fi panel, which connects to the MyHarvia app for remote use; Harvia notes that the features depend on the equipment connected.
The power unit in the kit does the job of a contactor, so nothing else goes between the panel and the heater. Harvia rates it for 7 kW at 240 V on one supply circuit, 11 kW when the heater is split across two circuits, or 10.5 kW on 208 V three-phase. Mount it outside the hot room, on a dry wall where the temperature stays above 0 °C. The heater sensor has a built-in overheat protector.
Controls are brand-matched, so the CX30 is for Harvia heaters. We pair it with the 6 kW Cilindro and Spirit; for 8 to 10.5 kW models we match the Xenio CX45, which Harvia rates for those sizes on a single 240 V circuit.
In Ontario, control and heater wiring is a job for a Licensed Electrical Contractor, or for you in your own home after filing an ESA notification (permit).
No. Harvia builds the contactor into the power unit that comes in the kit. You only need to pick a control that's rated for your heater.
On one 240 V supply circuit, Harvia rates the CX30 at 7 kW; bigger heaters only fit if they're fed as two groups on two circuits. To keep the wiring simple, we match 8 to 10.5 kW heaters with the Xenio CX45.
Per Harvia, the app can start the sauna on a schedule, adjust the temperature and switch lights and ventilation, depending on what's connected. The Wi-Fi panel needs a reliable signal where it's mounted.
No. Sauna controls are brand-matched: each maker calibrates its temperature sensor differently and uses its own wiring and signals. Harvia heaters run on Harvia controls, HUUM on UKU, and Homecraft on Homecraft TKE controls.
