Traditional Olivine Diabase Sauna Stones 5–10 cm 20 kg

Angular, split-face olivine diabase is the traditional Finnish sauna stone. It's dense and durable, and its rough faces spread water over plenty of hot surface. Narvi recommends the 5–10 cm size for electric heaters, and several wood stoves use it for their upper layers. Put the bigger stones at the bottom and smaller ones on top, keep the stack airy rather than tightly packed, and rinse the dust off before loading. Check the stones once a year and replace any that crack or crumble.
