Details

HUUM DROP heaters use 1.5 kW and 2 kW elements in different combinations, depending on the model, and HUUM publishes a diagram showing which positions take which element. This is the 2 kW version. If the heater takes much longer than usual to heat up, an element may have failed. Don't run it with stones removed to check: HUUM's DROP manual says the heater may only be used when it's correctly filled with stones. Switch it off at the breaker and have a licensed electrician test the elements. Order the same rating as the element you're replacing, and tell us your DROP model if you'd like us to confirm it.

Questions

Is a heating element covered by HUUM's warranty?

No. HUUM's 3-year private-use warranty excludes heating elements, stones and sensors, so elements are bought as replacement parts.

Can I replace an element myself?

The heater is hard-wired, so treat it as electrical work: turn off power at the breaker and have a licensed electrician do the swap, or check the job with one first.
